===== Important Information if Updating To help separate your bans and MBL bans, a 'psb' subdirectory is used in the new configs. Change your Auto-MBL path (whether it's FTP or local) to save to the 'psb' directory which will be inside the main PB directory. This will ensure all MBL bans go to the pbbans.dat there instead of your main one and separates the NOT_FOUND checks from Auto-MBL.
The pbsvlog.cfg file is also included with this release - if you overwrite your existing one, make sure you edit it and update the clan ID to your own. =====
For a basic installation, simply copy the .cfg files into your PB directory and issue a pb_sv_restart from your server console (or via RCON).
You will probably want to change some settings, to get access to the PB webtool (example) - for more details, please read the README.txt file inside the ZIP or TGZ archive.
I recommend that you use the forum subscription feature and subscribe to this thread to be e-mailed automatically about new releases.
Files contained in this archive pbsv.cfg - general PB server settings pbsvlog.cfg - sets up streaming settings pbsvuser.cfg - calls the other config files in the correct order psb/bf2.md5 - MD5Tool checks for stock maps and mod files psb/bf2sf.md5 - MD5Tool checks for stock BF2:SF maps and mod files psb/euro.md5 - MD5Tool checks for stock Euro Forces maps psb/spam.cfg - automated server messages with examples psb/stock.md5 - MD5Tool checks for core BF2 files psb/pbsvuser.cfg - used for extra MD5Tool checks added by Auto-MBL psb/protected.cfg - contains EB protected tags (see other pinned topic in this forum) psb/randomss.cfg - changes position of PBSS regularly psb/reloadbans.cfg - reload ban list script, ran every hour README.txt - instructions, credits
Note regarding mods These configs check for the stock BF2 maps and mod files. If you are running a mod on your server, please let us know as we will try to compile checks for extra maps and mods in the form of .md5 files which you can integrate easily into these configs. As we produce these, they will be made available here.
Auto-MBL and MD5Tool updates - UPDATED - please read To help separate your bans and MBL bans, a 'psb' subdirectory is used in the new configs. Change your Auto-MBL path (whether it's FTP or local) to save to the 'psb' directory which will be inside the main PB directory. This will ensure all MBL bans go to the pbbans.dat there instead of your main one and separates the NOT_FOUND checks from Auto-MBL.
Make sure you use Auto-MBL's MD5Tool update facility regularly and after installing these configs. If you're using the GUI version, click on Configuration, then Update MD5 Tool Checks. If you're using the console version, use the -m switch to run it. This will download extra checks to your pbsvuser.cfg file.
