The Enemy Territory ID master server, etmaster.idsoftware.com has been down for some time, since yesterday.
As PunkBuster cannot authenticate the CD keys against it, typically you will not be able to join PunkBuster enabled servers. Please do not open trouble tickets with Even Balance over this issue.
Server admins can use "pb_sv_guidauth 0" to disable authentication of clients.

Whoops! Looks like they went down again sometime last nite.. appears to still be down as of this post! For those who's server are normally full but now empty, disable pb's guid auth temporarily until the issue is resolved
In rcon: PB_SV_GuidAuth 0
Make sure to re-enable it as soon as the ID master server is running again.

I know.. sounds stupid, but this is what evenbalance told us to do.. and it works. The instant I set it to 0 about 10 players joined our server. This very same thing happend just a few short weeks ago and thats when I found out how to do this.

pb_sv_guidauth 0 doesn't seem to work on our server... it lets me connect to the server, but i'm kicked pretty swiftly with the infamous "please visit www.evenbalance.com to update your client manually" message :hmm:

ello all, thanks Omnix for posting that... ive got 2 servers that had been down for over 24 hours :/ after reading your post i had them both back up within minutes... there was much merryment and the people rejoiced :P

scrub that, seems my pb client actually DID needed updating - it's working fine now, thanks for the info (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)
