Looking through the screen shots I have only found two players that have a dual colored crosshair. What are they doing to do this? I sure can't figure this out.

If it were me, I would ban them, and let them come to you asking why. Or, if you know them, then I would ask them point blank about it. If they can explain it, great-- if not, heh.

I do not know if this file even works-- and it may just be a legit attempt to mess around-- I don't see a real advantage to it This is why I would just confront them directly and ask for the file-- if they say, "gee, I can't remember where I got it", then just ask them to send the file, heh.

I really don't give a flying f**k as to the color of the crosshairs. If you can tweak the cvars then tweak away. My consern is if they've add a file to change this what else is changed that we're not catching.

I was just reviewing the days screenshots and found another player with dual color and I can see an advantage, though slight, with it. If you have muzzle flash on and a light color cross you'll lose it in the flash some times, but with the dual color you can still see the darker color through the flash. Like I said not a big advantage.

Well in OSP, as you probably know, you can change the color of enemies to a bright color. I actually know OSP players who do not use this, and they are definitely at a disadvantage, imo. Knowing how to "tweak away" is part of the game.

Please let us know what you find out, should you confront these players, or if they come to you with an explanation, should you ban them.

Ok you hot heads...before you go banning people for crosshairs you need to investigate a few things.

Is the server PURE? sv_pure 1??? If not thats your explaination. Any custom crosshair can be used in a NON pure server.

What are the crosshair options allowed in the game? I know OSP has custom options for crosshairs including color changes. I'm sure Urban Terror has similar options. Make sure YOU know all the commands associated with UT before banning people based on crosshairs.

good points neck-- I had just assumed, since OPB is hardly new to PsB, that he was running the server pure.

I did try to find scripts/pk3's that allowed for this in UrT, but could not find any out there-- just the one for AA. Given that, and the fact OPB has been playing UrT a good while, I doubt there is a legit way the crosshair can have two colors on a pure server. Like I said though, direct confrontation is the way I would go, given the option.
